Friday:
Anyhoo, got to the venue sometime around Midnight Friday morning. Got drunk in one of the villa's with some friends playing some Buffy Jepardy. Then since I'm a getto cheap bastard, finally crashed in the bed of my truck outside under the stars in a sleeping bag. ;)

Woke up bright and early Friday (6am-ish) with a bird being loud in my ear and the sun beating down on my face. So went to eat breakfast and to get in line for the 9am registration. Got registered, was late for the Volunteer Staff meeting. Checked out some of the dealer room stuff for sale. Made some notes of some items i'd come back and try and haggle the price on the last day. (dealers usually only haggle on the last day of a con)

Didn't have much to do before the Iyari Photo shoot, so just kind of wandered around looking for the rooms that would have stuff I'd be attending. So i'd know where to go when the time was right.

Got in line for the Photo with Iyari. That went pretty fast, since there wasn't a huge line in the first place. Got to talk to her a bit more than if there was a huge line. Asked her if she liked the Video VCD i'd given to her at Dragon*Con last year of the two 'Kennedy-centric' vids. She suddenly remembered me from last year, and said the vids where awesome and that she showed them to everyone she knows. Got the photo, but stayed with her as I was getting another one with a friend of mine as well. We made a Iyari sandwitch out of her, and she kept saying 'dont get me feet in the picture'. I didnt know what she ment by that, till someone mentioned she was standing on her tip toes. (next time I'll scrunch down so she dont look so short compaired to me in a shot) She was very cute.

Side note: Now prior to going to the con, i had no clue (till about 7 hours before heading out the door) that she had cut her hair all off. I'm a freak about hair. I dont like drastic changes mostly, and can pretty much go bullistic about famous peeps cutting their hair without consulting me first. LOL During the photo shoot and most of the first and second day of the con, I was still kinda ticked about the whole hair thing. However by the end of the Convention I'd grown to love it, and it makes her look even hotter. (if that was ever possible!)

Hurried off to the Q&A for Iyari to find my seat. Wasn't very hard, since I've known what my number was since 3 days after last year's MR con. #69 was located in the second row, center stage. I knew i'd requested the right badge number. ;)

As stated above, I only asked Iyari one question and it was the only PG one I could ask with 'kids' in attendence.

My Question: Was Alyson Hannigan the first girl you've ever kissed?
Iyari's Answer: (with alot of hesitation) Wow, you just get right to the point don't you? (more hesitation) Ummm, No! Next question. (as she quickly looks away from me and searches the rest of the audience for another question to answer)

That was priceless in my book. ;) Great Q&A by Iyari. (and her hair really is cute now that I look back on it all) ;)

Was going to stick around to see James Leary's Q&A, but only got to catch a few questions before I had to leave to go do other things.

Went to the Opening Cerimonies which started off with a short film of the guests from last year's MR Q&A's. All the MR committee members where introduced, as well as all the Guests. And it was announced that Andy Hallet would not be attending the con due to some health issues.

Didn't have 100 bucks to plunk down on the Cocktail Party so was just checking out some other stuff with some friends. Was told to give the 'door person' these wristbands for the underaged peeps for the cocktail party. Only to get up there and find out I'd be the 'door person' for the event. So i sorta got to go to the party in a way.

Before heading over to do the babysitting gig i'd volunteered for. I snapped a few shots of me with Iyari.

Didn't finish with the babysitting in time to go do the Improv (which I was going to be a participating member of) but found out that it was a standing room only event. They even turned Adam Bush away at the door cuz there wasnt any more standing room left in the room when he showed up. I'm glad that went as well as it did. I know Paul worked hard on setting that all up. I'm just sorry I didnt get to play.

Went to the bar and got drunk with friends. Passed out on the Villa floor of a friends in the wee hours of the morning.

Saturday:
Woke up around 8am-ish, the auction was rescheduled and switched around with the Buffy MST-3000 event, sometime around 4am but nobody was told about it. So since we (the peeps heading up the project) had no clue we'd been rescheduled, we decided to try and reschedule it later in the weekend when we'd have more time to prepare the con goers as to when it was. (eventually it was scrapped from the con events altogether and we will just try and do it at another convention)

Attended the Auction, it went a bit longer than was scheduled, and they still didnt get through all the stuff that was donated. I personally was upset that only 5 (if that many) items where shown from the 'Iyari' stack. If you was a Marsters fan, you had plenty to choose from. But I personally wanted to see how high a certain tshirt signed by Iyari went. Everything that was given for the Live auction that didnt get bid on, was then sent to the 'silent auction'. Anyhoo, Leary's butt was auctioned off this year. (like Anthony's was last year) Leary's butt got 400 dollars from two people (so total of 800 bucks) who got to fondle his butt. One of the girls was the same person who paid to fondle Anthony's butt last year. I thought this very funny.

Due to the auction going long, nobody could find Stephanie, so i was sent to find her. Found her in the bar and she did the Angel Panel (but really just was a Q&A, since Andy wasnt there as well). Since i've never watched a total of 10 Angel episodes I really didnt have much to ask or to know about this person.

Stuck around for the Buffy Panel but was volunteered to hold the mic while peeps asked questions so didnt really get to see the guests. Never occured to me to field the questions first though. When the person asked Iyari for a date i was not only embarrassed for Iyari, but for Buffy Fans everywhere! Hindsight is 20/20 they say.

Autographes for the first 400 seats went pretty fast. (well unless you are seat number 400 i spose) LOL

After the line was pretty much down to the last peeps, I headed off to the villa to get changed for the Masquerade Ball. Where I'd entered wearing full Military Uniform (camos) with SuperSoaker in tow. ;) I didnt win any award for my costume though. I blame the fact that all the judges where friends of mine and they just thought peeps would get mad at them if I'd won anything. ;) I still looked kewl. ;)

I had access to the Common Rotation & Ghost of the Robot concerts, but was busy getting drunk with friends during the Common Rotation portion, so I sorta missed that, and wish I hadnt. But cuz I wasnt able to get into the Ghost of the Robot event at Dragon*Con last year, I thought I'd at least check that portion of the event out. I sat in my seat and waited for James and his band to come out on stage.

Now it could be the fact that I was already drinking, and found alot of things funny (even if they wasn't) or maybe I just have a sick sense of humor. But I could only stick around and listen to 1 and a half songs from this band. I couldnt tell you if the 'music' sucked or if it was good. My brain could not get past the huge 'i'm-a-rock-star-look-at-me-pose-and-act-like-a-rock-star-but-even-if-acting-is-what-i-do-for-a-living-i-cant-act-like-a-rock-star-to-save-my-life' train wreck that was James Marsters, to even hear the music. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I couldnt even discribe it to some of my friends who didnt have tickets. I had to get them tickets from other friends who had left the concert and show them. It was just bad bad bad bad. (later of course I'd found out that James was totally 3 sheets to the wind, which would explain his bad acting, so I'll just have to buy their cds to check the band out)

Did a bunch more drinking in the bar. Iyari apparently had gone for a run, and was returning from that when she sat with us in the bar for about 10 minutes just shooting the breeze with the lot of us. Showed her pictures of my kid. I asked my most favorite question to ask peeps (but tis R rated, so I can never ask it in the Q&A's)

My Question: What is your favorite curse word?
Iyari's Answer: (after alot of 'i dont really have one') Fuck!

Passed out on the villa floor of a friends again sometime in the wee hours of the morning after much drinking.

Sunday:
Was scheduled to work the James Marsters Photo Shoot. (the first time I worked and was actually scheduled to work) Watched James be a total ham with all his fans. It was cute, alot of peeps wanted shots of him biting their necks.

Also worked the 'Pickup' Photo Shoots of the other guests. (for peeps that had missed any of the photo shoots or for extra pics peeps had decided to get later in the weekend) Got a picture taken with the Trio before they had to get to their Q&A, then worked the rest of the shoot as well, so I missed the Trio and the Marsters Q&A's.

James Marsters Q&A Pictures

Was standing outside the lobby chatting with an Amberholic when Iyari came back from her 'golf lession' (which is where the Photographer was told she was when she was late for the pickup shoot). Asked her if she learned anything new. She said she didnt go golfing, but had gone kiyaking (sp?) instead and that she didnt flip over, so she was happy.

Worked the James Marsters Autograph session, which was 800 peeps (or at least 640 something). Got my autographes at the end with all the volunteers, then rushed back to get showered and changed for the parties I planned to attend that evening.

Attended a volunteer party, put together by the staff for the volunteers of the convention. Where I got to get alot of pics of everyone who attended, and spoke to Iyari a bit more. Someone told me that Iyari mentioned she was amazed that nobody offered to buy her leather jacket. I of course came up behind her and told her 'I'll give ya ten bucks' she just laughed at me, and told me in my dreams.

Then later she pointed to me and yelled 'she only offered 10 bucks' (she was talking to someone else while i was talking to Danny Strong) I turned around and told her 'well 10 bucks is all i've got in cash at the moment, if you'll take a check, let me know the price and i'll get it approved by the husband' to which her reply was 'YOU'RE MARRIED??' She apparently was in shock to learn of this development. She then continued with 'I SOOOOO don't have gaydar' then walked away from me. But everyone (specially my friends who know me AND my hubby) just busted up laughing at her (and me). Everyone at the party was wondering what was happening in that corner of the room with all the laughter going on.

About 1 minute later, after i'd stopped crying from laughing so hard, I'd showed her my wedding band and she said 'Are you serious, you're not gay?' I again busted up laughing along with my friends. From that moment on, I just went with the flow and told everyone that Iyari outed me.

She did feel alot more comfortable around me the rest of the party, now that she knew I was not some Lesbian Stalker type. I could definately feel the difference. So from now on, when I meet a female I admire the first words out of my mouth is gonna be "I'm not gay, I'm married and have a child and do not wish to stalk you in anyway."

Most of the actors left the Volunteer party to go to the Danny Strong Suprise Bday Party they where throwing for him. So there was a few minutes between the Volunteer Party & VIP Dance. I'd gone out to smoke a cig, then headed to the truck where my stash of alcohol was. :)

Got to the VIP Dance and found it not as hyped as last year's dance (the one I didnt have a ticket for, but attended anyway). Mostly cuz the music/dj sucked! But made the most of it, cuz it was to be the last bit of the con. Did leave a few times to check out the kareoke thing they had going for the non-VIP Dance peeps. That was REALLY lame, but I guess if you dont have nothing else to do, it's better than nothing.

Went back to the VIP dance, and I think Iyari was the only one of the Guests that actually showed up. Dont even think James Leary made it, and he usually goes to anything. LOL Asked Iyari for a dance (guess she didnt feel I was a stalker now) so she agreed. (i'd only asked her cuz of my Amberholic friend who didn't have the guts and the dance was almost over with)

Went to the bar with all my friends and the Kareoke peeps had migrated to the bar as well. So we listened to them mess up some really good songs, as well as listened to some of the Ghost of the Robot band members really mess up some songs too.

Iyari showed up at the bar and said 'Hey there lover.' to me, then to all my friends 'Did you all know she's now gay? I outed her tonight.' I told her I wasnt exactly sure how my hubby was going to take the news, but that I'd tell him as soon as I got home, it was only fair.

It was around 3am-ish when some Hotel security person told us 'you dont have to go home, but you cant stay here' and cleared out the bar. Rosey said 'party in my room' and everyone got up to leave. Everyone I knew was standing at the elevator with Rosey when I'd headed out to have a quick smoke. When I'd returned everyone was gone. WELL BUGGER!

So me and my friend decided to FIND the party anyway. (i've done this in the past and have had a pretty good track record of finding the best parties - even ones I wasnt invited to)

So the first door that sounded like a party I knocked on. They answered and it was NOT Rosey's party but who cares at this point right? I said 'Hi! I'm crashing your party, you dont mind right?' They of course let us in and who do I see in a corner of the room AFTER I got fully into the room? Iyari Limon! I couldnt believe it. I didnt talk to her, she seemed involved in some conversation with someone else, besides I was talking to the host of the party anyway. Due to what was being smoked in the room, my friend decided to go out into the hallway to get some air. I finished talking to the host of the party and decided to make my exit (still in search of the Rosey Party).

Across the hall and a few doors down, I heard another party going on. So like the first, I knocked and they let me enter. Again I said 'Hi, I'm crashing your party'. But before I could get halfway into the room who do I see? Iyari Limon! OMG!!!
I didn't even know she had left the first party I crashed!!! This time I DID talk to her, and told her I swear I wasnt a stalker and had no clue she was here. She said she believed me, and that it was fine. I explained about the party we was in search for and it was total coincidence that I'd found 2 of the parties she decided to crash as well. I really felt awkward, even though I KNEW i was not stalking the woman. So when she said she was just about to leave anyway. I told her to wait 30 seconds, then leave. That way she can start stalking me, and crash the parties *I* was at. ;) She laughed and I appologized again, then left.

At this point I'm all freaked out, and just want to NOT have that happen again. So we headed down to the front desk and asked them to give us the room number for Rosey's room. They of course would not, so i told them to phone the room and let me talk to her. They did allow that. I explained to Rosey what had happened with the crashing of two parties and that when she saw Iyari the next morning to tell her that I am NOT a stalker and that I'll probably never attend another convention she is at just to prove that point! LOL Rosey said that nobody else had come up for the party so she just went to bed anyway. So with that I figued it was about 5am-ish so I should pass out on my own as well.

Monday:
Woke up 7am-ish and packed everything and headed home. Got home around 3am and slept most of Tuesday to recoup.
